Kent and his many successful ventures have been prominent figures in the Canadian and American dance industries for more than two decades.

Kent formally owned All That Jazz Dance Company in his hometown of Chatham, Ontario. Under his leadership, the studio grew into one of the region’s most respected and competitive dance programs, producing successful dancers while fostering a positive and inspiring environment for students and families.

Kent launched Dance Attack Workshops, a nationally recognized organization that provides elite dance training opportunities across Canada and the United States. Through Dance Attack, Kent has had the privilege of working alongside many of the industry’s most respected choreographers, educators, and entertainment companies.

In 2015, Kent introduced the Toronto Dance Teacher Expo, creating a first-of-its-kind educational and networking experience for dance educators across Canada. Following its success, he expanded the concept with the Calgary Dance Teacher Expo, providing similar opportunities for dance professionals throughout Western Canada. In 2017, he further expanded his vision by launching the Dance Attack Student Expos, offering young dancers additional opportunities to learn, connect, and be inspired.

Never content to stand still, Kent continued to pursue new ways to support and strengthen the dance community. This led to the creation of Dance Attack Competitions. This premier competition circuit has grown into one of Canada’s most respected dance competition organizations, hosting events across Ontario and beyond each season.

Kent also had the unique opportunity to work with the hit television series The Next Step, serving as Director and Coordinator for its highly successful workshop tours.

While Kent did not grow up as a dancer and has no formal dance training, his strengths in leadership, organization, marketing, and business development have allowed him to build some of the most successful educational and competitive dance programs in Canada. His innovative approach, commitment to excellence, and passion for creating opportunities have established him as a respected leader within the dance industry.

Away from work, Kent is a proud father to his two sons, Carson and Denny. When he finds free time, he enjoys spending it with his boys, his two cats, and participating in activities such as hockey, softball, and boxing.

Through every venture, Kent remains committed to one goal: creating exceptional opportunities that help dancers, teachers, studios, and families thrive.

We are thankful to be able to work and live in these territories. We are thankful to the First Nations, Metis and Inuit people who have cared for these territories since time immemorial and who continue to contribute to the strength of Ontario and to all communities across the province.

As an organization committed to youth education and activities, we believe acknowledging traditional Indigenous territories is one way to recognize contemporary and historical Indigenous presence and land rights. It is a small step towards dismantling the continued impacts of colonialism and undoing Indigenous erasure in our everyday lives.
